trying to connect my 7300 over usb. but does not recognize my rig. it works perfectly with JTDX. running on Catalina and latest version of wfview

You must make sure that wfview is the ONLY application connecting to the rig. I also assume that you have followed the getting started guide? Getting Started | wfview specifically the bit about enabling CI-V Transceive?
