CIV Transceive on & PGXL

I believe CIV Transceive must be turned on for WFVIEW to work and must be turned off for PGXL amplifier to work properly. It will capture the frequency but if you turn the VFO knob it will go away and then come back after a few seconds. All the time you are tuning relays in the amplifier are clacking off and on. Anyone know of a solution to this? Thanks…Stan, ZF9CW

Hi Stan,

You can try turning off CI-V transceive. You’ll need to manually specify the CI-V address in wfview, and you may notice some features act a little differently. Let us know how that works out.

Thanks, We will try that next time we play with it.

Hi Stan,

Feel free to send one of those amps over here for testing if needed.

wfview generates a lot of CI-V traffic, including the spectrum several times a second, so I could understand an amp might have difficulty with some of it. But yes, you can disable transceive. The interface might feel a little more laggy but maybe not too much? Do let us know what your experience is.

RF Sense is an option with the amp. Yes it will display frequency but will click off and on as you tune radio. If it were silent it might be OK but very annoying as it is.
