External microphone not working on remote PC

Hi,
I’m attempting to access my IC-7300 remotely using Vfview (ie using the server Vfview and remote Vfview)

Everything works except selecting the External microphone (ie in the head set) in the settings of the remote Vfview. The Internal microphone is still active. (The External Headphones work fine.) Additionally, the windows sound settings (on remote PC) also indicate that Wfview is using the External microphone, however the Internal laptop microphone still appears active and sound is ignored from the External microphone.

O/S is Windows 10 on a HP laptop. The External microphone works fine with other windows applications. Wfview is V2.11 (Both the Vfview server connected to the radio via USB and the remote Wfview)
Thanks Steve

Hi Steve,

Try using a different audio system on your remote client PC. We offer Qt Audio, Port Audio, and RT Audio. Sometimes a different system will work better on a computer. When you switch audio systems (and you must be disconnected first), the device list will reload and you may see the device that you need.

Thanks W6EL. I do see the External Microphone I need, it just doesn’t seem to select. I’ll give it a go.

Hi Elliott,
The RT and Port audio didn’t work for me. I’ll try another PC. Cheers
