IC-746PRO - Any chances?

Hi

That’s quite normal as anything not compiled in Debug mode (Qt/Windows libraries etc.) will have missing files. You can safely ignore this.

It’s been a while since anyone posted on this thread, but what was the upshot here? I have a 746 Pro, and I am wondering whether it is supported… I see that the 746 is listed in rigcommander.cpp, as well as the 756Pro, so I guess if it isn’t supported now, it should be pretty trivial to add…
On another note, I definitely agree with @eliggett that building wfview on Linux is trivial (I’m using Pop OS 22.04).

Hi David,

If you set your rig’s CI-V address to the same address that the IC-746 uses by default, and then check both “CI-V and Model” checkboxes, supplying the IC-746 address, then it will probably just work. The radios have about the same capability as far as wfview is concerned.

The address of the 746 is 0x56, which you can enter into wfview as “56” and into the IC-746 Pro as “56h” likely.

Thanks, that’s very helpful!
