My Ham career was inspired by the USAF Mars Station at Tachikawa, Japan (1958 thru 1961) behind the East side theater when I was there with my Dad and further encouraged by our neighbor an airborne radio operator and Ham (KA2CS sk) at Tachi West. I started as a Novice (WN0IUE) in 1973 and Technician '74 (WB0IUE). The Advanced came in 1986 (KE0EF) and now an Extra in 2021 (W0SP). I served in the Air Force as a Radio Relay Technician (Troposheric Scatter, Microwave and Multiplex) with the 2875th GEEIA Sq. at Tachikawa AB, Japan. I’ve been a Ham since the early 70’s.
