2.0 usage

Have 2.0 up and running on my IC-7300. Working great, with no real issues.
When I turn on the pre-amp, I am not able to turn it off again with the SW. Also, I am not able to turn on the attenuator with the SW.
Anyone know if I am missing something, or is it supposed to work this way? I have to use the radio front panel to turn off pre-amp or use attenuator

Great upgrade!

I am due to test my IC-7300 soon, so I will check this (although it should work?). There are known issues with CW Sender and ATU as I missed those commands off when I created the IC-7300.rig file, but preamp/attentuator should work, so I will definitely look at those.

Just checked, and I have missed the PREAMP OFF option so that explains why that isn’t working, and I had mistakenly used 10dB for the Attenuator instead of 20dB. These are both corrected in the attached IC-7300.rig file.

Please replace the file in [wfview directory]\rigs (this is usually c:\Program Files\wfview\rigs but you may have changed this when installing).

Make sure you replace the file as multiple files with the same Rig ID will overwrite each other.

IC-7300.rig (25.1 KB)

Thank you for your renew
I was download the latest wfview 2.0 on the offical download website, i want to ask that, does the official download file is the new one? Or i should use your new rigfile to replace the file from the old one?

No I haven’t updated the download yet, so please also replace the .rig file.

Thank-you for the updated file. Works like it should now.

I am just starting to learn your program. Impressed with what I see!

Is the any videos been created to help explain the process of creation of a rig files from scratch.

Thanks

I’m not aware of any.

What radio did you have in mind?

Just a generic introducing was the main idea. What are the main characteristics of rig control.

Though I just recently purchased a IC-2730, which has some ci-v control. I know it as no spectrum data but just interested in the cat control.

Thanks for reply Elliot.
