Normally, peaks on the waterfall stay for about 10s. I would like to see a setting for the “time to live” for the peaks. Like 1s to 15s.

In “Peak” underlay mode, you can make a similar adjustment.
By adjusting the “underlay buffer size” you can adjust how much data is used for the peak. The peak is taken from the highest of the last N samples, where N is the buffer size. If a strong signal comes up, it becomes the peak, but that data expire once the buffer has filled again. Using a larger buffer will have the effect of causing the peaks to be displayed longer.
