I have looked at my ports I have previously configured for various apps which work.
With wfview, it never sees my radio. Any thoughts as to what is wrong? The various com ports are available under serial device, but none of those work, even if I select them rather than using auto…

Auto is really designed for Linux, so you must select the correct port for the radio (usually the first port). Check that you have the correct serial port selected, this can change if you plug the IC7300 into a different USB port, so look in the Windows device manager.
If all else fails, post a screenshot of the settings screen and upload your log.
