That sounds correct I believe you must power down from the software to then be able to power up from software .

Problem is if I power down the radio with the remote software and power cycle the server I cannot power the radio on remotely. Power outages and the need to reboot the server fairly often because WFview or the server stops working has left me with no radio on several occasions.

The radio will power up from the server but not remotely seems to me this is a bug.

Yep power outages would be a problem , I have always run my rigs on batteries, with trickle mains charge and intermittent mains boost so o don’t rely on unreliable mains.

Then the software switch works every time it has never failed me.

Wfview works great to switch off and switch on even from a different remote.

Mains problems is another issue altogether.

Not the rig and not wfview.

My rig and server are on on UPS. The point is if it powers up from the server there is no reason it should not restart from the remote.

MMM------- Mine works if I power down from remote – i appear to always be able to power up from any remote.
Strange.
