Frequency over 440MHz

Hello! I am not able to use PMR frequency for listening. Is there any way to change freq. input to manual (frequency mode) for this purpose?

What radio are you talking about? If the IC-9700 it is limited to just the amateur bands.

Well, I have IC-705, it’s able to listen on 446MHz, but I am not able to get this frequency using wfview.
It’s working up to 470MHz (receiver on 705)

That will likely be my mistake in the rig file for the radio, I will check the radio spec and correct this, but you can do it yourself using rigcreator. Rig Files and Rig Creator | wfview

Just edit the ‘GEN’ band for the IC-705 and increase the maximum frequency to what you want. (in Hz)

Thanks! I will try to do it

there’s maybe 1 more wrong thing. in rig creator, I see region 1-3 start frequency at 420MHz/430MHz, but wfview allows me to go down to 400MHz.

Yes I said to edit the Gen band not 70cm. This band sets the absolute limits for general coverage.

ah okay, so what’s the file I should edit? DEFAULT-ICOM.rig? I am not sure

No IC-705.rig (obviously!)

Looking at the current file, the Gen band only goes up to 30MHz, you can make this 470MHz instead (470000000)

great! got it working  it took me some time to find “gen” line :))
