Don’t give up Tailscalr (free for home use) will sort all firewalls ,and ports without you doing anything install it on the pi or server computer and install it on the remote laptop or whatever and it will just connect regardless of any settings on your router.
And it will connect from any Internet connection from anywhere.

Some bad news here:
note that any tool/site/vpn/whatever in between will end any form of support. It already does if people don’t do what’s asked. (not any particular ones here but we cannot dedicate our spare time to ask 3 times to do one thing).
It is what Elliott states: it’s not for anyone. It also means getting some local ham to fix the things.
