I cannot get the memory store/recall to work with the Icom 7300. I am following the description in the manual. Does it in fact work with the 7300?
What wfview version and what OS?
I don’t have a 7300 any more but hopefully someone else that has one can chime in.

I am using Windows 10 and the version of WFVIEW is 2.03
Windows 10 and the version of WFVIEW is 2.03.
What exactly isn’t working? The memories button works fine for me and I was able to add/edit memory locations (don’t forget to uncheck “Disable Editing” before trying to change anything)
Here is what I have tried many times… Let’s say in the main UI I change the frequency to 14.025. I then go to the frequency tab (not the memory tab) enter a number to store the memory frequency like the manual says and then hit STO. When I try to recall the memory I go to the frequency tab and put in the number that I wanted the frequency to be stored in and hit recall. And nothing!!!
No recall. So what am I doing wrong. Describe step by step how you do it if you would please.
Thanks
Harry
Ah that is the old memory system which was very basic, it will likely be removed soon.
wfview now supports programming the memories stored in your radio, via the Memories button on the main wfview screen.
Tried the memories tab also with no luck. I using version 2.03… just downloaded it last week or the week before. Starting to think baud rate or something else.
Not sure as I just started using it. Have figured out this stuff with other programs mainly involving SDR. Thanks for your help
Do you mean the Memories button? There is no Memories tab!
Are you actually connected to the radio? Does it say IC-7300 in the bottom right hand corner of the main window?
Screenshots and information from the log window would greatly assist us here, as so far we have very little information on your setup.
I see and installation log. That is the only log I see. Is that what you want???
That all looks OK, What happens when you click on the Memories button? You should get a popup window warning you it is an experimental feature, click OK on that.
Yep. All the frequencies I stored manually in the radio pop up and if I click on one of them the radio changes to that frequency. Has me baffled. I usually don’t have many problems, but when I do I usually can figure them out. May be time to drop back five yards and punt. The only thing that comes to my mind is baud rate, but I can pretty much eliminate that as the rest of the program is functioning.
OK, now you have me confused. What exactly isn’t working as that sounds like it is doing what it should? If the baud rate was wrong, nothing would be working.
There is a manual page that explains how to use the memories window Memory Editor | wfview
If you are talking about the STO/RCL buttons within the Frequency window, they will not work (which is why I said they will likely be removed)
OK. Thanks. I know I could manually program all the freqs in the radio memory banks and recall them with the program, but that is a big pain. Thanks for all the help.

You can program them within the memories window (that’s kind-of the point)
Tried that too… i have played with it with no luck, but also there is no description as to how to do that in the manual. So you are saying I can click the memories button and add frequencies? Correct?
Harry,
Please read this complete page before posting about this topic any further:
