Installation failed on Windows 7 64bit

The installation process went on until the Microsoft Visual c++ file
wfview-Installation3

Then an error message popped up:
wfview-Installation-error

Nothing was installed. How can I proceed?

Hi Willi.

Exit code 3010 usually means that an installation is pending a reboot so you can try rebooting and then install again. The installer will try to install the latest Microsoft redistributable code but you may not need it, so another option is to select Ignore and then try running wfview. If it runs, you already have the redistributable installed.

Thank you Phil.
I choosed “Ignore” and the software is running.
Is it possible to let the installer check whether the Microsoft redistributable is installed already?

Hi Willi.

Yes that is the plan, unfortunately the installer framework is pretty complex so it is taking a while to work out exactly how to do it!
