Hi Kevin,

Thank you for the bug report!

Next time it does this, can you press the Log button and then press “Send to termbin”? Paste in the resulting URL in your reply.

My guess is there is a genuine network issue but I can’t tell.

Hi Kevin.

That’s quite a lot of lost packets, I usually get practically zero, even when connected for a few hours. Can you describe your network, when you say 1G LAN, are there any bridges or other devices between the PC and radio? UDP streaming is very hard on network devices, I used quality (HP and Alcatel) managed switches in my network.

Just FYI, here is wfview running on my Windows 10 laptop, connected to my IC-7610 for 2-3 hours, with zero lost packets:

E,

Will do!

Kevin, WA6JKN

Phil,

Lan cable connected to 1Ghz router. Not sure what the speed is, but I am sure it above 200 Mhz.

No problems with RS-BA1 version 2 or Win4Icomsuite. Both stay connected.

I operate remote from home using the LAN connection.

No mesh systems here!

I also subscribe to a dynamic DNS to manage the public IP for me.

vr,
Kevin, WA6JKKN

No spots? Must compare DX Cluster Spots to compare, etc. It might be a buffer issue with the DX cluster Spots?

E,

Here you go!

2023-02-15 17:48:01.886 INF log: Disconnected from logging host

This log shows you’re connected for approximately one minute. Then there is a lack of CI-V and audio and the connection drops.

I’ve never seen this and I can’t think of anything specific about 1.61 versus 1.50 that would cause this. I am tempted to say, go back to 1.50 and see if it really works 100%. I’m kind of wondering if there’s a network problem at your end that is slowly creeping up on you.

I had wfview 1.61 open the entire day today, well over 12 hours, and no problems. Zero lost packets and no loss in connection. I’m using gigabit ethernet and moderately-good network hardware.
