I have just updated the server and client to the latest version 1.5. Still getting no sound - the same problems at my MacBook Pro M2 with the request for libqt5multimedia-plugins, or the crash.

I am having the same problem. I have an M1 Macbook Pro with 12.6. I can connect and hear audio on a Windows machine connecting over LAN to my IC-R8600. The Mac receives no audio and suggests I install qt. Port audio is what works on the PC, but crashes the app on my Mac. Thanks and 73.
