Client connects to server over Internet and everything works fine except that I don’t get any audio. I have confirmed that the output device in the client is correctly set and that the device is playing audio from other programs.
Also tried without sucess the suggestion from the FAQ page, disconnecting, changing the audio device and reconnecting.
Looking at the log of the client, everthing looks normal. No errors or warnings and the audio device shown in the log is the correct one.
I have spent several hours with this issue and I don’t know what else to try.
Hi Gabriel, I had the same problem. Everything looked good but no audio. I checked the log and noticed many requests to resend audio packets. I’m not sure what I did (sorry) but after a few off/on’s and disconnect/reconnects it started working. Weird…

Using Windows 11 home, 64 bit, in both local and remote computers.
I use the latest version of Wfview 32 bit, as the 64 bit does not connect to the IC-9100.
As additional information: I can use WSJT-X/JTDX in the remote computer, where the server is running. WSJT-X/JTDX receives/sends audio OK and controls rig using RigCtl. It looks like the issue is that the server is not sending the audio from the USB Audio CODEC to the client.
Configuration of the server:
I can’t post more screenshots as the system answers with “new users can only put one embedded media item in a post.”
If you need more detailed information please specify.
The Radio Server tab is the important one. The audio devices in there must be the USB Audio codec. When a radio is connected over USB, the Radio Access audio devices are not used (they will be greyed-out in the next version!)
This is going to sound uninformed and disjointed, but I offer some info from a recent conversation last night on 2M.
Our local club runs an IC-9700 remotely, using WFVIEW. Two df our local guys have recently been having issues with being unable to transmit audio.
One guy had given up, due to time constraints, the other guy was on our local net last night using the IC-9700 and had the no audio issue. He made several attempts to fix it and finally succeeded.
Sorry, I did not write down what he said, but it was along the lines of USB ‘ports’ (I think) and he mentioned that it was likely that Windoze had changed a port assignment. He also mentioned port numbers of 0 and 1 and said that connection must be to one of them, I forget which one, but it’s easy to try one or the other. Once he got that right, the cure was instantaneous!
Sorry the above is rather vague and disjointed, but hopefully you’ll be able to use the info for your purposes.

Please have your friends contact us on this support forum and we can probably help out. I also recommend reading the FAQ and the manual carefully.
As we see time and time again, most issues that come up here are due to a lack of understanding with regards to the fact that the radio and the computer(s) need to know the audio inputs and outputs. There’s no getting around it. The radio has to know what input to use. And the computer has to know what hardware to stream to and from. Users must expect to inform the equipment of these basic parameters.
Otherwise, issues about networking (“what is my ip address?”) and how to install and run programs are quite common.
Clicking about madly on every option, as seems to be a common pastime of at least one popular youtube channels and many users, doesn’t usually help. But it does seem to happen.
All these issues can be worked through with a little reading, but of course we are here to help when it doesn’t work out.
Anyway, have your friends post here if they need assistance.
also note that madly cliching on all options generally will make things worse, especially if settings aren’t reset in the end.
Re the USB ports, I’m confused. What’s the server side here? Over lan? (recommended, unless you happen to need more users with different user/pass combo’s – the numbers here are pretty limited to 2 I recall).
I would opt for an admin account and a guest account and have the high speed scope instead of using USB connections to the rig. But then again, I am guessing here too.
