No comm w/7300 via USB after 1.2d loaded

Loaded 1.2d, no communication with 7300 via USB, so went back to 1.2c, still can’t communicate 7300-to-wfview. Have gone through set-up several times, no joy. osx 10.13.6

Can you share with us your log file? Maybe we can figure out what’s going on there. On macOS, it is located:

Hi KMac,

Do you have any other USB serial-like devices connected? Any other ham radio programs running?

The log file seems to indicate that the radio’s serial port was opened.

USB mouse, that’s all.

Hi KMac,

Try debug logging and see if we get any more clues.

cd /Applications
open wfview.app --args --debug

Once you launch wfview like that, the log file will fill with a bit more information.

You might also try a full power cycle on the radio, prior to opening wfview.

Verbose logging?

You mean power down, disconnect the 12 volt external power supply, wait 5 minutes, then reverse, lastly launching wfview?

Yes, however, I did not reset SMC. Will try that today.

n00bie error…I had changed CI-V USB Port to Lin to REMOTE. All is well now…tnx, 73.
