Audio problems: Rig IC 7300, Server PC on windows 11 works great with the transceiver and also connects to the client PC running on my cell phone hotspot. version 2.10 on both machines. Just no receive or transmit audio on client. In Radio Settings/data off modulation input box set to USB but switches to MIC when I connect radios. same for data 1 box. Log says it keeps requesting missing packets. Help greatly appreciated!

Thanks for your reply, E
Rx Audio on client side does not move.
Server settings:
Radio Access tab: Serial USB, Baud rate 115200, PTT type CI-V, Model 94 for IC 7300
Radio Server Tab: Rx Audio INput: Microphone USB Audio Codec; TX Audio Ouput: Speakers USB Audio Codec; Audio System: QT Audio
External control tab: Enable RigCtld is Not checked; Port 4533; TCI server port: 50001; Enable USB controllers
Client settings:
Radio Access Tab: Network; Control Port 50001; Connection: LAN; RxCodec: Opus 1 ch; Tx Codec: Opus 1 ch; Audio Output: Speakers Realtec; Audio Input: Microphone Array Intel.
E,
On the server, I only have two selections on the RX Audio Input:
MIcrophone (USB Audio Codec) and Microphone Array (Intel smart Sound Technology for Digital Microphones. Neither setting works.
On the TX Audio Output, I only have two selections:
Speaker (Realtec Audio) and Speakers (USB Audio Codec)
Neither setting works.
I do not have a Burr-Brown setting. Is Burr-Brown an audio to digital converter chip that my Dell computer does not have?
Thanks, Phil
You could try temporarily disabling the audio hardware in the bios for the server machine, and then work on the various settings for what would be left - ie: Just the Icom rig - in Windows.
Start by disabling all windows sounds - those bleeps and dings that it does when stuff happens. If they are enabled, and there is a conflict for access to an “exclusive” audio device, You will run into issues.
Then, Make sure in “control panel - sound” that the USB audio CODEC devices are correctly set up.
In PLAYBACK:
Levels - whatever
Enhancements - all disabled
Advanced - 16bit, 48000hz
Spacial sound - Off
In RECORDING:
Level - Whatever
Advanced - 1 channel, 16bit, 48000hz
Allow exclusive control
Give… Priority
In both disable any power saving nonsense.
If You are sure You have the Icom drivers (etc.) installed, try making sure neither the Playback or Recording USB Audio CODEC listings for the Icom in SOUND are NOT the Default device, and NOT the Default communications device. Once You re-anable the motherboard built-in audio, you can choose one of those as Default.
Also, make sure permissions for Use of the Microphone/Speakers are allowing Your software to access them - Windows has been known to restrict access to some microphones etc.
Also make sure all USB devices involved are not enabled for power-saving of any sort.
