Port Forwarding Question(s)

I’m putting together some instructions so my host in VE3 can forward the ports necessary to control wfview remotely. The Setup instructions say to forward Ports 50001, 50002 and 50003 to my computer’s address within my host’s home network.

Do these ports already exist, or is the actual first step to create the ports before I can forward them?

Hi Ken, if you look in the WF setup these doors are already there.

Hi Ken.

It really depends on the router type that your host in VE3 uses. Many routers just allow you to enter the port and destination address, some require you to create a ‘service’ first. You will also need to select the ‘type’ of connection, for wfview this is UDP.
