Pulsing xmit Audio on WSTJ-X

I saw this was discussed back in 2021 on a MAC, but did not see a resolution. But I am using a laptop with Windows 11, WFView (just installed), VB-Audio connector, and WSTJ-X. The audio settings all seem to be correct. WFView is connected via Lan to my IC-7610. Idea is so I can wander around the house and have connection to the radio. I have not yet tried the other virtual sound card connector. This works fantastic on receive. But when I transmit the tone is pulsing, so naturally that does not work.

Kind of pulling my hair out. I’d like to be able to hear the audio that is going out to the virtual sound card to determine where the problem is occurring. Naturally if I put the sound into the laptops sound card it sounds ok. But that would require a really long wire.

So has anyone else seen this and how did you fix it? Thanks.

So for anyone that gets here with a similar problem.
I switched to virtual audio cable from VB-Audio. And the pulsing disappeared. So there is some incompatibility with VB-Audio. There is still some strange noise at start up, but I can make contacts.

Is this a trial version of VB-Audio? One of the audio apps does put in some sort of unwanted signal in trial versions to prevent you using it on transmit. I’m not accusing VB-Audio of doing so as I don’t have access to its T&Cs.

I had the same issues you had with VB-Audio. I ended up going with Voicemeeter. Immediately started working for TX/RX connected via LAN to me 7610.

VB-Audio really doesn’t have a trial version. It is donation ware. If you like it you can make a donation.

Thanks I’ll have to take a look at voicemeter also.

I can get this pulsing on TX with JTDX/WSJTx even when using VAC. The problem depends on the Codec and Audio system settings being used on the server and client. Some combinations glitch badly on TX, some do not. It’s not entirely due to the Virtual Audio software, more likely the way they react to the transport settings You are using.
