Remote interface responsiveness

Hello, I have been running wfview (windows 10 for both client and server) for a few months now with an IC7300 and all in all it has been great. I run the server side on a extremely limited internet connection, 12 Mbps down / 1.5 Mbps up. My station is at a cabin in the middle of the woods so internet options are basically none. Audio is completely usable using opus ch1 and around 175ms set for latency. I have had many long qso’s without much issue.

The issues I have had on the remote side are as follows…
1.) some times the transmit button won’t key or won’t unkey until I hit it a second time. Same with using the Shuttle.
2.) some times I can’t change bands, I have to go back and forth a few times to get it to change bands.
3.) some times changing frequencies won’t take the first time and I have to double click again.

As you can see all of these issues are “some times” and given the terrible Internet I have at the station side I understand if there isn’t a fix but figured I would ask anyways.

Any help is appreciated. Also, thanks for all great work to make this possible for me.

I think you will find these issues are taken care of in our upcoming version 2. Keep an eye out, it won’t be long.

If you need to toggle PTT differently from the state of the transmit button, use Control-T (transmit) and Control-R (receive).

Your situation with the remote connection is pretty cool. I’m glad it’s working overall. Opus is a really good codec.
