When using a logging program that has the ability to change freq of rig and using a virtual port to share with wsjtx if I change frequency a few times with log software wsjtx disconnects with rig error. I tried this with multiple virtual serial port programs all do same thing. There is no contention control and if one program is accessing the rig and another program tried to access the rig one will fail cause the rig is busy with other program. We need a managed virtual serial port so programs are able to determine when the rig is busy and not try to access it

This is exactly why we recommend using rigctld emulation rather than virtual serial port for wsjt-x. It works with many other programs and allows them all to be connected simultaneously.
