Brief summary of problem (put in title as well): Upper sideband setting randomly changing to Lower (same for preamp setting)
Radio Model:IV-705
Connectivity (USB/Ethernet/Wifi/Other): Wifi
Operating System: Windows 11
wfview version (press “About”): 1.64
Checked the wfview manual (Y/N): y
Checked the wfview FAQ (Y/N): y
Tried to google it (Y/N/NA): y

What I did: SOMETIMES WHEN CHANGING BANDS, SIDEBAND SETTING RANDOMLY CHANGES TO LSB ALONG WITH THE PREAMP SETTING
WHEN CHANGED BACK TO USB AND “SAVE SETTING” THE PROBLEM COMES BACK ANYWAY

Expected behavior: SHOULD KEEP SETTINGS AS IS

Observed behavior: UPPER SIDEBAND RANDOMLY CHANGES TO LOWER

This is NOT a bug, it is as designed, by default changing to any band below 14MHz will automatically select LSB and USB for 14MHz and above.

You can disable this feature within Settings/User Interface by unchecking ‘Auto SSB’.

Hey Thanks Phil!
Got it. Maybe this could fix the random preamp setting problem Im having also. All the digital apps require upper SB exclusively and
these two things were the only mysteries I was having with a perfect software app!

The preamp toggle is a thing the radio does automatically. If you go to each band and disable the preamp, then it should go away.
