Truly exceptional software! Version 1.61 works great

Hello,

I use Windows on the Server side and OSX on the client. Version 1.61 works wonderfully out of the box with great audio and perfect stability (I keep the server running 24/7 and it hasn’t crashed once yet).
I would like to congratulate the development team for this wonderful product. I can’t believe Icom isn’t sponsoring you yet. I will send them an email proposing it.

Platform independence has always been an important part of wfview. We have designed it to work equally well whether on Windows, Linux or MacOS. Sadly many manufacturers seem to target only one platform (Windows)

Hi Alain,

Thank you very much. It’s truly a team effort, and I think this release, 1.61, is by far our most polished and functional release ever. We drove people nuts with updates while we worked away at little things, and we finally got it out.

Being sponsored, even unofficially, would be pretty awesome. We hope to get an IC-905 as soon as we can.

I would like to point your attention to the wfview, an open source software allowing to remotely control various Icom radios remotely and being developed by a group of volunteers. This is a truly amazing software that adds significant value to your product line.

I know Icom sells similar software already, nevertheless, given wfview growing popularity I believe Icom should recognize the team by - at the very list - donating some needed radios or, even better, directly sponsoring it.

This is a great opportunity for Icom (you get exceptional software for your product line for almost nothing) and a great opportunity for us Icom customers too (we get improvements to a program we already use and love).
I am honestly really surprised your sponsorship hasn’t happened already.

I would really appreciate if you could extend this request to your Japanese headquarters as I could not find their email address.
