Hello I am struggling to send audio with JTDX. Wfview is connected to the IC 7610 remotely (Wifi) and it works fine.
I have followed instruction to set up JTDX. It receives/decodes well but when it come to transomission, it switches the radio in TX, JTDX shows the power but the radio is not actually producing any power out, and the TX audio meter in Wfwiew drops to 0db.

My audio setting in the VB Audio virtual cable are around 50-60 and shoud be ok.

Could anyone help in uderstading and sorting out why there is not any power (and possibily sound) out of the radio?

Which other settings might require and adjusmtent?

thanks and best 73

from what I read, without having any experience, nor reason to use a virtual audio cable:

to me it sounds (hah, pun intended here) that there is a configuration issue where the emitted sound is not routed correctly to wfview to be considered as an input.

Now, having said that – let’s first be sure that your audio itself without additional software, indeed gets from wfview to the rig.

Like: can you TX with a normal mike input (headset, laptop mike etc) with the 7610?

Hello yes in ssb for instance everything works with my pc headset and mike. I can trasmit with no issues

cool. SO that definitely means something is NOK when it comes to the Virtual audio – mot sure but I was readong about some solutions only had a single channel or something unless paid for?

I really don’t know. Others may chime in here.

Yes VBCable only provides a single stereo audio link by default. While it works for some people, I always recommend the commercial version which allows creation of multiple links.

The reason for this is because in the default configuration, TX audio is actually connected directly to RX audio (which is a bad idea IMHO)

Having said that, your issue is more likely that the VBCable output device is muted within Windows.

I knew it was something like that Phil!

hello thank you for tour feeback. I am quite sure that the VB cable is not muted. How should I double check it?
When I open the volume mixer in widows the volumes for both the cable input and oupt move meaning that they are received. Is it normal that both receive? shouldn’t one be devoted to transmit and hence be still while being in RX?

This is exactly the reason that I don’t recommend using the free version of VBCable as there is no way to separate TX and RX audio.

Ok but then when it come to tx, it should transmit, shouldn’t it?
Is there any settings that might be worth changing in wfview?
In the external control panel should tcp and tci port both stay at zero?

just a quick follow up. I have updated the VB driver with a new version. It now shows a Cable Input and a Cable In16ch.
What is the difference?

And in any case, while before updating, I could not hear to FT8 note, now for some reason I here it coming out of the spearker of laptop. How could I address it properly to Wvfiew?

You have to use the commercial version!!! The free one is effectively a single virtual perch cable.

Do you mean the Vac commercial version? Or the VB cable ? Thanks

The paid version of VB Cable

I am trying something creative before buying. I am using one cable with VB and one with. Vac. Shouldn’t it theoretically work?

hello everyone I am sorry to bother but I am struggling quite a bit to get jtdx working with Wfview. I have now bought VB cable, which means that I have two virtual cables A &B.
What I have done is to have in:
JTDX input: CABLE B output
JTDX output: CABLE A input
in
Wfview output CABLE B input
Wfview input CABLE A output

it does not work. How should the two cables be plugged in?
And, in Windows, where I can set one Input and one output source, what should I set?

Any advice one be greatly appreciated
