Using X6100 remotely

How do I connect to my x6100 from another location. Probably old news for many but for someone who has never ventured this far out, its breaking news ! Read the manual I hear, well thats ok if you are able to comprehend the lingo used…

Thanks

Hi John,

You will need to port forward using your home router.

This is beyond the scope of support offered here, but if you google “how to port forward” then you will find what you are looking for.

In summary:

The ports, by default, are 50001, 50002, and 50003, and they are of the “UDP” type. They must be forwarded to your radio’s LAN address.

You will then need to find your home’s public IP address and connect to that.

Thanks Elliot, I will look it up shortly and educate myself some more.
