Virtual COM port settings

Hi there, I have created a com0com and would like to connect MixW to Wfview. What settings regarding baud rate, start, stop bit, parity, etc. do I have to make on MixW? I tried various things but it didn’t work. I’m wonder that I can’t set anything in Wfview. I found several requests in the group but all refering to a very simple explanation where nothing of those settings are mentioned.
Thanks, Max, OE6MDF

Max,

Does MIXW support rigctld? Rigctld is part of HamLib. and is simple client/server model to get 2 software programs to use the same rig.

In the case of WFVIEW, wfview has its own rigctld server in the Settings section, under External Control. If you can enable that and set the Port to 4532, and then find out where in MIXW to enable “Rig Control” or rigctld, set that to port 4532 as well.

No MixW 3 does not support it. Maybe Version 4 but too many bugs and not useable for me. I thought virtual port can be used for it. I am using Mixw for 20 yrs with CIV but now my new PA need this port

SOLVED!
all works! After changing baudrate in MixW you have to turn once on VFO on the radio then it works (in both directions). I have tried only changing frequency in MixW without touching the radio and there was no reaction…73
