Can someone kindly explain warnings I have? Trying unsuccessfully to make Log4OM work with WFView and cannot get Log4OM to generate the text string to ‘Align’, So I decided to see if my WFView installation was valid. Run of log shows several errors which may be having impact.

Are you meaning to run a server on this instance? Just checking.

I don’t see any errors/warnings that look too bad.

Yes - I run the server to allow connection from another PC on my home network. All of that works perfectly. I am trying to get Log4OM to function via WFView QSO detail for logging. It may well be a problem with my set-up in Log4OM. I have attempted a few times using the WFV manual but just can’t get the text string showing to correct with the ‘Align’ button and have set ‘RigCtld’ correctly as far as I can see. BTW: The Manual shows an old screen shot for this area of guidance and differs from that of version 2.11. In an earlier thread, Phil said he has this working.

Short answer is yes. The pi4 is being utilized as a server

We recommend running 3rd party programs such as Log4OM on your client side. Give that a try.

OK – Thanks for that. I’ll give it a try

OK, I have just tried the latest Log4OM v2 and something is definitely broken. It did work last time I tried, but it is quite possible that changes to the rigctld within wfview have broken it.

Unfortunately log4om uses a command that is not commonly used by other apps. (\get_vfo_info), and it is very picky about the response it receives, so it is quite possible that changes have broken it.

I will check and let you know.

You can use the (experimental) TCI support which seems to work (you will need to restart Log4OM after changing the CAT type)

Thanks Phil. I’ll try that tomorrow hopefully. It is V2 I am trying to use.
