WfView and SDC-Control

Hi,
I’m new to this setup (as in just really tried today), but hoping someone can help. I have a PC running WfView connected to my IC-7300. It works fine (except for audio I think but I’ll deal with that later). I also have WFview on my remote mac and can connect to the IC-7300 without a problem. What I’m trying to do is use SDC-Control but I can’t see to get it to connect. It may connect for like a second and pulls up the frequency, but that is about all. Anyone has a step-by-step or any guidance on this. Also, and info on how to pass the sound through to a remote Mac would be welcome as well.
Thanks,
Andrew

Hi Andrew,

On your server PC, wfview only uses audio for the purpose of creating the wfview server audio stream. It doesn’t do anything else with it. You can just use the audio directly in programs like WSJT-X or fldigi as you normally would without wfview.

I’ve heard from some other users about SDR Control having difficulties. It has to do with how SDR Control finds and identifies radios. We may be able to help when we update the Mac and PC builds. Or the author of the SDR Control program can implement a few commands to easily discover the radio.
