WFView, Icom 7700 and disappearing waterfall

Greetings all! First off, I am very excited to have found this project. I was somewhat resigned to thinking that I would be limited to using the RS-BA1 software (ie, stuck on windows). Looking things over, I have wfview up and running, except that when I connect to the set, my waterfall disappears. As in, completely!

Looking at log output, I don’t see anything that really stands out to me except this bit for the audioconverter (see below). What am I missing here?

Hello,

Unfortunately, the IC-7700 does not provide waterfall data. That is why it is not displayed. The best you can do is to run something like fldigi on the audio stream. You could also investigate installing an RTL-SDR “tap” into the radio and using that, which can be streamed out using a raspberry pi.

Please keep us posted on your adventures with the 7700, we have few user reports and would like more!
