Wfview with Ham Radio Deluxe

Hello,

I am new to Wfview and see it can do great things.

I have my IC-7610 connected by LAN port.

I have WSJT-X working with Virtual Audio Cable and Hamlib NET rigctl for Radio CAT control.

Has anyone had any luck connecting to Ham Radio Deluxe CAT Control? By what method?

Did you try using wfview’s internal rigctld?

I didn’t look to see if that appears under the radio models. I’ll give it a try.

I am pretty sure that HRD requires more direct control, you might have better luck with a virtual serial port as described in the wfview manual https://wfview.org/wfview-user-manual/virtual-serial-ports/

Thanks, Phil, I will give that a try as well.

I did some experimenting with an old CT-17 CI-V hub and found if I used a CI-V to USB cable I could create an actual serial port. I have 2 of those now, 1 for Ham Radio Deluxe and 1 for PstRotatorAz for my SteppIR SDA2000 controller. They work well, but the software solutions would be less expensive.
