I have the audio to WSJT-X working fine using VAC but I cannot get the CAT configured right. I am using the 3.0.0.0 signed com0com but the virtual com ports do not seem to be working/connecting. I am using 32-bit Windows 10 21H1 with Wfview 1.1. I get the error some time after clicking “Test CAT” in WSJT-X. That button and the band/frequency display are red.

Hi Gary.
I haven’t tried com0com but others have reported that it works. You will need to restart wfview after selecting the virtual com port and I think com0com creates a pair of ports so make sure that you use one end of the ‘pair’ for the wfview virtual port and the other end for wsjt-x.
If it doesn’t work for you I will try to setup com0com tomorrow and give it a go. I know that VSPE works well but that is commercial software.

Thanks, Phil
I just brought wfview up again and now it works! I had previously rebooted thinking that might be an issue with the com0com driver, but that didn’t help. It might have been that I changed the virtual port again to check but did not restart wfview. Now I have to get JTAlert and logging working remotely.
