Being a bit long in the tooth, I was wondering how does wfview or indeed the x6100 connect to a remote station via the internet? What is required on both ends and how does the system route across the internet.

Don’t forget, you will need a USB to Ethernet adapter for the X6100.
Some aspects of the X6100 don’t seem complete, in particular, nobody has confirmed that transmit audio works, and the spectrum doesn’t seem to report the correct frequency.
Hopefully they will update the firmware to address these things.
