Just got it working again and made some image grabs of the setting both on the iphone and rig. Once bitten twice shy !
Just a warning to those who want to use the wifi connection, because the wifi module in mounted just behind the lcd display and between two pcbs, I suggest the following to get more signal.
- replace the back cover which holds the battery pack with a non black plastic version ( perhaps 3d printed )?
- connected an external antenna socket close to the wifi module via a thin coaxial cable ( its delicate work and you take the risk
- Locate the wifi module and drill some small holes nearby ( not to let the smoke out…hi, but to let the wifi signal in / out. , you do this at your own risk especially with metail filings possibly falling inside.
