I will be trying to port forward on an Xfinity Gateway router. Any tips, details, or instructions will be greatly appreciated. I have been through YouTube videos, and on-line instructions, but am still a little uncertain as to how exactly the data should be entered into the router. Is it better to use the Xfinity app, or use the browser to access the router?
Every router is a little different but the basics are the same. I recommended finding someone in your local area that know more about networking to help you out. This is a difficult thing to help someone with remotely with little information about your setup.
Well kinda true. Pretty much all modern Xfinity Gateway routers are the same. the router is set up using the Xfinity app, or by browser. I was looking for someone that has set up that pretty common router. Thanks for the Reply.

if the ISP provides that “common” router, they may even be of help.
Like Aaron said: too many different routers/modems, too many (sometimes shoddy) interfaces to deal with.
