I did manage to get WFView, WSJT-X, Grid tracker and AC log to connect and work
beautifully on Win 10 so I’m really excited to get this to work on Mint as I cant
wait to ditch Windows

Thanks for your development and reponse…

Can you verify that:

  1. CI-V Transceive is turned on, on the radio’s menu?
  2. You have not checked any of the CI-V options in wfview.

  1. CI-V Transceive is turned on, on the radio’s menu? Yes
  2. You have not checked any of the CI-V options in wfview. True

It is worth checking the log, but my suspicion is that wfview isn’t receiving a response back from the radio, which is often caused by a networking issue, potentially a firewall on your PC is blocking the traffic coming back from the radio?

Phil thanx for the response. The firewall does sound suspect. Ill give that another look.

Phil… you were right ON! Thanx… l kept looking at my radio settings and found that my radio IP address was 192.168.0.10. When I checked with the router I found that it had set my ICOM to192.168.1.18😁 Problem solved. WFView now works as advertised. Im very pleased… thanx for the help…73 Fred
